It sounds interesting, but if they could integrate sat tuner and allow for cams, would make it more appealing for sure.

          I will add to this....

Mine has no UK / Irish channels.

Mine has AD Sports 3-8 , JSC Sports 1-10 & OSN Sports 1-4 & Dubai Racing , Sky News HD , Nat Geo Wild HD.

          But it works as above.

Going to try on a projector soon, so will see how it looks on that.

I tried attaching a vonets wifi adapter but the box didn't like it & shut down for a few hours.

So it's back on hard wire now.

They are wifi options for the box above though.

Mine was ?399 from another supplier to the one above.

I went for mine as it has the OSN sports 1-4 so you get Rugby, Cricket, NFL, Tennis, Golf, so there is much more than just football.

I guess it's a good option for a private club even though it's not exactly legal, but i can see this taking off for the price
especially as there is no one european sat provider offering all games anymore via satellite.

I am taking mine to show a Cricket club how it works.
They have official Sky already, but don't get ESPN with it as Cricket clubs get a special rate through the ECB.
Most Cricket clubs pay around ?125 a month for Sky , but it would be 4 times more if they didnt go through the ECB.

We have to remeber though AD Sports only has 6 months left with the Premier League & we don't know if they will still have it next season, so this is maybe why we are seeing the boxes hit the market for this low price.

Rumours are ADMC have a 1 season extension until 2014 but again that is just a rumour and when the tenure went out for the bidding rights for the next 3 years for Europe i saw Al Jazeera's name in the list but no ADMC or there representatives so this will be interesting

                That is interesting news.

Not too bothered if they don't go for it again but would be nice to get the 1 year extension.

OSN look as though they could bid for the Premier League aswell.

Englands Premier League (EPL) soccer administrators are not yet ready to award the TV rights for the important Middle East and North Africa market. A decision was originally expected last September.

The new rights cover the 2013/2016 seasons. The rights are currently held by Abu Dhabi Media and used on its Abu Dhabi TV Network (AD-TV). AD-TV also holds the rights to Formula 1 races and Wimbledon tennis.

Locally, the consensus is that AD-TV paid around $100 million annually for the EPL rights, and few doubt that the next three years will cost more.

An EPL spokesman said there was no rush to conclude a deal, although the Tender document has been issued to all likely bidders. The EPL said there would be no decision this side of the holiday season.

Other bidders are likely to ensure the EPL rights represent a maximum income for the England Football Association, with Al Jazeera Sports a likely bidder. Some local observers suggest that Abu Dhabi and Al Jazeera might be considering a joint bid for the rights. Other contenders could include a revitalised Orbit Showtime Network (OSN)

personally i cant see jsc sports getting the rights unless several conditions are met as its too easy for people to stick a dish on hotbird and buy a jsc card. regards mdt

                      you are right, but ,

isn't there talk of JSC pairing cards in the future ?

This might help them secure the rights to the Premier League as this is one of the League's main criteria now.

i understand the pairing issue but in mena region were most of their subs are people own their own stb,s and then either buy the card or card/cam combo and use in conjunction with that. its not just a case of pairing like s*y/viasat ect do were their own stb,s are in the houses.. what are they going to do? force everyone to buy a new stb or give all their subscribers a free box the next time they renew their existing sub. also what about people who run 2 official cards in their own stb, sat ab-sat/bis and jsc in viaccess or 2stv/walf-tv/berber-tv and jsc they would have to make sure there freebie boxs had 2 slots compatible with viaccess 4/irdeto regards mdt
