Hi been reading some of the posts and gotten even more confused about which sat box to get (preferably one with subs) I already have normal sky box and dish installed two years ago what should I be looking for in terms of which box to get

A closed linux box works fine, you just cant reshare on all of them.

ive had a openbox for 18 months about?50..dead easy to setup ,ideal starter box till you get a more better/complicated box

Trev it depends what you want to do. If you're just looking to use your Sky dish to view sat chans then any freesat box on the planet will suffice.

As a general piece of advice, if you're looking to play around with the abilities that sat's offer then get yourself an entry level box that you won't mind bricking due to being new and one i would reccomend would be the box that is my first...

Wait a second.... Can I view the full sky package with an openbox and a dish or do I need to join card sharing for that?

well been told by a friend to get a 800se d6 box said to get one with a fan. subs he will hook up one question will i need a hd drive to go with it
