    I am going to Hong Kong.

    Will i be able to purchase boxes out there cheap? do these firms we buy from actually have outlets in chinahong kong??

    any one know. looking to buy a new box soon but may hold on till i go hong kong if anyone knows where and if i could get one there.

      Whats the point, if it goes wrong you are stuck with it.
      Buy from uk supplier and have the back up.

          Having been to Hong Kong you should buy your a box from there, especially now part of China, which sell loads of clones.
          If you buy in Britain it would not really be worth sending back to Britain for repair.

                  You need to find the location here before you go, you will not find it window shopping in HK. If you want to try then Kowloon is where to start if you can't get to Shenzhen but I warn you it is a big busy place and the prices are not that good.

                      That and bringing back a suitcase full of them will make HRMC happy as you arrive back and they charge you import duty.

                          Totally agreed with the above comment, you seriously need to find out where you want to shop before you go and having been twice and scoured the shops looking I can tell you I found nothing, that is both in central and kowloon. You can buy everything else on earth electrical wise but not satbox's. You may want to search out the electronics district in kowloon and don't go looking in the lady's market as that's where you get fake watch's ect. I personally think hk is over rated and much prefer singapore and south korea.

                              your spending thousands to go to the other side of the world and to save a few dollars your going to buy boxes there,does not make sense,and most if not all are cheap crap , if you can afford to go there you can afford to buy a decent box here a proper orginal
