Alternative to S*y subscription

Hi guys,

First off - great site!!

I'm moving into a new apartment and am not in a cable area so can only get sky. I'm confused about the alternatives on offer if i didn't want to get a sky sports subscription.

Can you guys help me in finding a sat box which receives all sky and setanta sports channels?? I understand the Eurovox and Starview are only for cable areas, right? Is there a similar product which scrambles the channel feeds theough a satellite connection??

I'd be grateful for any help or advice on this.

no box will descramble sky tv as it isnt hacked. sat boxes are available and with a big enough dish, you can get more channels than are on sky anyway.
sky uk is available via card share. but that will not be discussed on this site.
ps its also bloody hard!

Dont pay a fortune each moth for sky. Just get a motorised dish and you will get pretty much everything thats on sky anyway for free

PS...you cant get sly without a valid sub or by joining a cardshare chris, for more info on cardshare google is your friend as we dont allow it on here m8

the only real package thats left open on emu/patch is digitv Digi TV on Thor 5 & Intelsat 10-02 at 0.8?W - LyngSat on 1w but that is rumoured to be going to nagra3 soon.

so you will be best off gettting either a cam (CI) like the diablo or getting a linux based receiver and joing a cardshare

i know as much as you but its just that soo many encryptions are changing that know one knows which cam is best

i think what everyone first needs to understand is this.
no matter what items you buy to get the channels open,
patch,card,cam etc: there is and never has been any gaurantee that support via files will always be there. and they can stop quickly without warning, this is the chance we take and if you want the channels open all the time then a subscription for the service is the only gaurantee you will open the channels all the time, some items have been very good ie: the gamma card, the m2 card, and the diablo cam. have been fantastic over the last couple of years, and i think the diablo has even more to offer in the future. my view on these items is if they open the channels for six months or more then they have paid for themselves when you think of
the cost of subscription for the providers you have been viewing for your initial out lay. but like everyone else over the years i have bought other receivers,cards and cams etc: that have been a total waste of money. but the moral to all in this hobby is this [you pay your money and you take your chance] i found this posted on duolabs forum by there admin

after reading this on there forum and the statement in the post that [There will be good news coming soon] it looks like file support will still be there for the cam, and if this is just boost post for the cam sales to make money, then they could have just kept the update at ?23 going to get money for nothing, my view for what it's worth is this could mean
a new cam version to get any new updates they are saying will be with everyone soon, but if it gives as much as the earlier cam versions i for one will buy whats needed,

Give it a little time Cas7 is due to be introduced around the same time frame as Nagravision 3 upgrade on the Thor Satellite which is expected in the next two months.... Cas7 is inevitable on C+ Nordic just a matter of time Duolabs to date have not been able to re-open DigitalAlb .

If there are no big Channel packet open on Duolabs products the same with EMU & Keys, there will be a big drop of in the market for Receivers and especially private companys such as Duolabs who will be worse hit with any downturn, Duolabs have a rather big facility down in Spain R&D along with manufacturing so I am sure share holders in the company will be looking to introduce new products to increase profits, if the qbox and present cas interfaces turn out to be counterproductive which it seems they are and nothing new is opened in the next few months, were are bound to see some new products when some encryption system is opened directly or indirectly by them.
