    does a good lnb really help?

    lnb i have i think is 0.3 db ,question, should i invest in one that has lower, say brand name lemon with a 0.2 db gain? or and icecrypt with 0.1 db gain ?and if i did will this stop picture freeze?and maybe pixilation?

    Depends, what satellite is it that is giving you these problems?

    If one aimed at your location, it will be down to dish alignment.
    If it is one out of footprint or on edge of it, then it is really hit and miss, and thats when this hobby gets interesting (& Expensive) Bigger dishes different lnbs very low loss cable and highly sensitive tuners.

      tbh ted i'd say no.

      they would make a slight difference but not noticibly massive, if picture if freezing or pixilation then its usually a poor signal, often on 16e or is broadbast in very poor resolution, ie redhot or sexview on 13e or over subscribed c/s if you use that
