Sky box not responding to remote

Remote flashes, sky box flashes but can't change channels, volume or turn sky off. Remote has new batteries. Any ideas?

hi sogama try takeing the remote apart and with a little soap clean the rubber contact pads and also the pc contacts and then make sure it is dry befor putting back together also check that u have no dry joints on the pc board and when u have it back together the batts on the pos side are makeing contact ok also you will need to put your tv code in the sky handset for the volume to work. jr27485

try the remote on a friends sky box, and try their remote on your box

once you know if its the box or the remote you will know which one to change

Had this problem and I had to reflash the box

does your remote have an "STB" button , if so press that then try it , someone could have hit the "TV" button and knocked it off.

just had same issue, switched box off from mains, a reboot of skybox sorted it
