open box for newb

hi all i am new to sat boxs and havnt had a box for a few years now
i use to be on virgin with arnet

my sister has just had a openbox fitted and it does what its should as the man said it would and there sitting back watching any chanel they like

now i could get the man around or i could buy a box for a 3rd of the price he charges

what i would like to no is the costs of subscribing or is there downloadable content to make it the same as hers

it all seems quite complicated nowadays as it was easy to flash and go before negra

i have looked through some tutorials and understand how to get it up and running but will this only get fta chanals

any help will be apreciaed and please remove if i have broken any forum rules

we cant talk about any costs involved other than hardware costs such as box, dish, lnb, cabling etc.. the information that enables yours sister to watch the channels is a forbidden subject on dk
as to your question about downloading content to make it the same as hers.. the answer is no

ok buddy it wont happen again i think i will stick with sly enless codes are cheep i will look around

this site is a great place to learn though and i have looked through numorous threads already
