    Advice on Sat receiver

    Hi folks,
I am looking for some advice on what to buy and the benifits of same. I currently have SLY (No cardsharing or otherwise) and want to look at other options. I have a couple of Zetacams, Cas3+, Funcards etc and obviously my dish & box from my SLY install.
My questions are; what are the benifits of getting say a TM 5400? What channels can i get using my SLY sat (In Ireland)? Will i just get a load of foreign stations or is this investment worthwhile?
I have never really messed around with Sat but have good exp of cable so any advice from the Sat guru's on here is well appreciated!

lots of the channels on satellite have now changed encryptions plus a lot are now in nagra 3 so they is'nt a great amount open on the technomate patches it's mainly digi-tv on thor 1w plus some channels on sirus 4.8e and bits and bob's on the other satellites there are lots of channels in english plus lots of foreign language chns most now are useing a diablo cam to get the extra channels from
thor 1w and astra 19e that dont open on any patches, but make no mistake the support for these or any other files could dry up at any point. also to get the best of whats available you will need a motorised system with a larger dish, to get whats available as for what chns your mini dish will give you without a subscription from 28e is just the free
to air chns there is no way with satellite to view the scrambled chns and the dish is'nt much use for a lot of the other satellites, for me with a motorised system i would go for a dish of at least 1 metre in size
    Please Read Carefully!
No Sky UK NDS Videoguard Hacking Discussions.
Viewing Pay TV without a valid subscription is illegal
the files available are kept for experimental & educational purpose only
    original vu duo2 /vu zero/ tm-nano-se. v-box / 36v /1.2 dish,

Thanks for that, i appreciate the info.
So, in short, with what i have, its not really worth while for me.... A larger dish is not really an option (I live in a duplex apt & dishes are illegal). My SLY dish is quite small and not too obvious
Guess ill stick with SLY for the minute so
      Thanks again,
