    Descisions

What to do? Which box would you recommend for the longterm (ish) as I know nothings truly longterm in this game.

The Blade 7000s or the skybox F3 or VU duo I want to get something that has options like pvr enigma 2 but I can get up and running straight away.

    Thanks

if you want long term benefit, best buy currently is solo2 (?270 from EU or ?300 or maybe gigablue quad (?340).

duo clones are about ?200 but might have problems updating images in fututre so might want to steer clear. used duos are usually around ?230 or ?250 with hdd.

if you can afford paying ?300 get solo2. if you're willing to buy from germany might get it for ?270 delivered. that would be the best buy at the moment i. terms of price and performance.

then again, if you're not going to use the 'features' of solo2/duo. might just go with with ?50 openbox.

those receivers in the market which are being sold anywhere between ?80-?150 like blade, amiko, eagle box, spiderbox etc. are just not worth it for what they provide. maybe amiko alien dual tuner might bring something with enigma2 side, which would make it a good buy, but until then no point really IMO.

the enigma2 single tuner receivers in that price range are far better options IMO, even the clone versions. the only reason you would choose an overpriced blade 7000s over an enigma2 receiver which could be got ?50 cheaper is the lack of needing to use ftp and setting up. even then, setting it up isn't rocket science.

EDIT: Actually, having a look at various sites both based in china/hong kong and those who have already imported to the uk. It seems prices of clones of solo, duo, dm800 are selling much cheaper than I had previously thought. The risk with clones is always there, in terms of build quality and support. But at the prices they are selling I would find it hard to not choose them even when up against the ultra cheap ?50 skybox F3
