Me and the mrs have decided to pot sly, due to it costing us a whopping ?68 a month for, well, not a lot really!
I had almost made my mind up on buying a Foxsat PVR for freeview that would allow dual recording, DLNA compatibility and therefore would allow me or the better half to watch recorded tele around the house either using xmbc or via android etc.
I stumbled here last night and started doing some reading, got excited about the possibilities then read the thread about the end being nigh. It was a rollercoaster of emotions!
I suppose first and foremost, is it worth anybody jumping on board now to receive contraband sly channels, given that we know it's going to be knocked on the head soon, although we're unsure when?
Secondly, is there a box out there that will do as much as the Foxsat? A decent EPG, the ability to record two channels whilst watching a recorded third one, DLNA compatible? Obviously I don't expect anything to work that well out of the box and I'm pretty confident with messing about with electronics.
A lot of questions, so apologies. Hopefully someone can help or at least point me in the right direction.
