No Signal with some bouquet channels

Hello guys, Ive been searching and reading but cant find the answer.

A lot of my presets which used to work, now say No Signal. I seem to remember from a long time back, that this means the transponder (or something) has changed, and one should go to KOS to get the correct details. I did that, but it seems the details showing on my Protek 9760 are the same as KOS... so I dont know what else to do.

What I dont understand is that if the channels ive got are part of one bouquet or another, wouldnt the transponder info be kept up to date anyway each time there is an update?

I understand if a channel has signal but is scrambled... but no signal?

    Thanks guys,

    Mark.

transponders are not updated by the server you have to keep an eye on these and as you say KOS or flysat will help ,if you dont have the TP in the box and scanned in for a "bouquet" channel it wont show on the blue button.
there have been quite a few changes to the bouquets lately in particular a lot gone from 16E .and a couple of n**a channels are abit hit and miss but there is still an awful lot open.back up your channel list and try this one of mine the TPs on the main sats are uptodate. But beware FAV4 is XXX.and not all the favorite channels will open as they are not part of the main bouquets.

Thanks for the input Dick, I gave your list a go.

I'm not sure what you mean by having the TP "in the box". Do you mean by going to MENU > Installation > Channel Scan > Start?

WRT your list, it seems most of the channels in your favourites2 section are Astra 28.2E, which, AFAIK, are not on any of the bouquets, so they are all Scr***led. There are still quite a lot of "no signal" channels, as you suggest, many of the n**a ones.

        tx again,
        Mark.

yeah I did say not all the favorites would open on a std box but as to "in the box" the TP must be in the data base and scanned in to show on the blue button to add TPs individually follow the pic,but all the main sats are uptodate in that list I posted.

I use a channel editor to sort my favorites give it a try.

Dick, thanks for the info again and the channel editor!

Im still a bit unclear about the TP issue. The channels that say "no signal" ARE visible by pressing the blue button (if i go into the individual bouquets to see the channels they contain).

If I go to each transponder and scan it as in the drawing you sent, then would that process UPDATE the TP details for the channels that are in the bouquet using that TP?

IE, this would mean being able to fix ALL the channels under one TP with a single rescan, right?

            Tx
            AGAIN!

the "no signal"(apart from the obvious alignment problems)issue can be a couple of things sometimes this shows when the channel is not open for what ever reason or there is a slight bug in the system a simple reboot is worth a try this also cures the banner not showing the epg.you can also try a factory reset("restore factory defaults) if this is happening on a lot of channel that you know should be open.but make a note of your settings 1st lat/long etc and make a copy of your channel list to usb as a reset will wipe all channels.
if you scan a TP it will update all channels on it sometimes it may be neccessary to delete the TP and re enter and re scan it to sort a glitch. but be aware that you have a max of 10,000 channels and the box just wont accept any more than this but it doesnt tell you.if you use one of my lists you will be ok as there is plenty of room on them but some lists put out are full up with rubbish.I know my lists have rubbish in as well but I"v put most of the channels I watch in the favorites and I only use them and the other blue button channels rarely searching via sat position.

ps some blue button channels that have closed for good will still show til they get sorted at a Key change.
