More sports channels for Romania

Romania?s RCS/RDS has been awarded a licence to operate four satellite TV channels.
Media Expres reports that the services, known as Digi Sport, will be launched next month or by mid-June at the latest.

They will be offered in the company?s basic analogue and digital cable packages, as well as on the DTH platform Digi TV, and include live coverage of Bundesliga and La Liga.

The start up costs of the channels will be ?1.4 million, with a further ?1.8 million and ?1.5 million being invested in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

Shame .:|SaDiQ999uK|:. you wont be able to watch them for long using your Technomate / emulator & Keys ! Good old N3 coming soon ..... Probably the reason why there launching new channels when the encryption is nice and secure...

To be honest once the Premiership season is over there is less demand for the Sports channels...Maybe the Lions Tour some Golf and a little Cricket but thats about it, The only time I ever use Thor is for the Boxing or on some few occasions the Premiership when I am unable to get Nova Sport on 19e

With not many channels open other than FTA what the point of a sat system? nag 3 soon we are doomed a tell ya, I only watch the saturday footie, any other sat has it that i can get? why sky don't show saturday 3pm footie, they will make a fortune on season tickets.

I never understood why Sky never had Saturday football live @3.00 while every other satellite provider across Europe has at least three live games on a saturday one after each other....or shows at least one....

For over ten years if you subscribed to Sky on saturday all you got was Sky Sports center for the Afternoon and if you did not know any better through Sky advertising the only way of watching the Premiership was through Sky and now Setanta of course, very little people across the UK and Ireland are aware that all these sports events can be found on other Satellites across Europe .....

For example how many people will buy the Hatton fight this weekend ? And It been shound across Europe on regular Sports channels not Pay Per View ...I tell you Sky News tell us about the Credit crunch ! and how we are been ripped off and Sky Sports /Boxoffice are doing exactily that.....

Sky are not allowed to show 3pm kick offs cos the premier
league were worried that if people could watch it at home
they would not turn up at the grounds and buy season
tickets,,,hence less money and empty grounds!!!....
sky WOULD love to show 3pm if the prem league would let them

yeh it was set down in the early days of sky havin the prem, what a load of cods I say, just try get a ticket to see man u at old trafford! they could sell out twice over, the rest have to wait. They should put the live games on MUTV for a subscription and split the revenue to the other club they play. Its time to change to old antiquated FA, outdated, old fashioned and way behind, they even closed down a MU website because it was giving MU wallpaper away as downloads, 10th hussar.co.uk, have that!

really cant wait till digitv goes and then a month or two after depending on the situation with encryption we may buy a CS receiver...

I heard a few years back that its illegal to broadcast a 3pm game on British soil from a british broadcasting network... the guy said it was most due to the highlights of the day(MOTD) and other stuff prob people staying home as said...

I think its only pubs are aloud the to advertise they are showing them also

But I do remember some dude on TV talking about a legal issue about showing 3pm games and Moyles also mentioned it once one morning too...


Most peeps think there is a 3pm game on SS or Setanta every once in awhile but they really arent 3pm usually 11,12 or 4,5 or something other than 3pm
