    Gibertini 1.25 dish spacer

if anyone could supply a photo or drawing with all dimensions of the spacer needed for a 1.25 gibertini dish to convert it for use on a diseqc motor I would be most grateful.
    regards Dick

Thanks all but have found what I wanted.

If your thinking of hanging a Gibby 1.25m on a diseqc forget it, Unless it is ground mounted and very sheltered the dish and its back mount weigh in at near 27kg far to heavy for a diseqc motor (ask mdt about the stab 120)

there are 2 gilbertinis 1.25m, the old galvanised - very heavy and the new = aluminium = very light.

the spec for the new says 4kg but I think they miss out the fixing bit, which is steel, still quite light but big for one to lift and manouvre.

@ebmitie take that 4kg quote with a pinch of salt i have the 1.25m Aluminium version and can tell you it weighs when complete over 20kg which is unsuitable for a diseqc motor dont get me wrong it will work but the lifespan will be halved.

Anyone buying one be advised they still make both Aluminium and Steel versions

that 4Kg is just for the dish.the bloke I am trying to help lives in spain and was trying to get the dish elevated enough without the spacer on a std diseqc motor which wont work.

i have owned the steel faced one and still have the new ali(hirschmann) one now and the older one isnt much heavier... its the back bracketry that is heavy as the face is light as a feather.
better to go with a 36v polar mount if you can afford it,regards mdt

yeah its just that he already has it installed on an H-H Diseqc motor but of course cant get it working,to make it worse its all hanging off an "L" bracket.
