    sat angles

Hi to all, couple of questions regarding satellite angles, gona be fitting a motorised dish and iv checked due south on the compass, thing is how far east will it turn? it will be on an angle on the pole to start with, it wont be staight on if you know what i mean, im thinking will it turn so far east the dish (1metre) may hit the wall, il be using 18" T&K brackets and with the motor on im hopeing it wont hit the wall when turning?, can it be programed to stop at say 45 degrees ?, how far east will i need to get decent sats?,, New to this thanks in advance!

The dish will probably get all channels between 50w and 50w if there is no limits. If there are limits, i.e. wall or tree, then you can set limits using the motor and settings on the dreambox.

To be honest, there's nothing worth watching past 30w or 30e.

also if u use diseq 1.2 instead of usals you can set your
positions manually moving the dish 1deg at a time thus
          avoiding bending your dish..

You can set limits for east and west..nothing worthwhile past 8west imo unless you can open cabo 30w..nothing too good either past 42e..

USALS is the best choice as long as your pole/mount is exactly plumb.

USALS--will automaticlly find satellites aslong you first satellite is set up correctly, usually 1w dependant on your location.

Diseqc1.2----you need to manually adjust dish using reciever and store each satellite location, can be very hard to do if you dont have an all bars dancing satellite meter (very expensive).

also you find the dish doesnt exactly move just left or right, it sort or goes up and down more than left or right....hard to explain but once its up you'll get what i mean

i used usals to find the sats then saved them posistions to diseqc so i could fine tune!
