motorised dish problem

My motorised dish has turned to 1 west and I can't get the dish back to 28e on rebooting my dm500s the dish begins to move but then halts, I have tried manually moving with remote an again it begins to move but will only proceed to around half way, it is snowing heavilly so I don't want to climb a ladder to press the reset on the motor, any other ideas what I should do would be gratefully accepted, I've no tv at all here, not even 1 west

do you not have a old reciever there to send the motor back? as ive seen this before... its the psu on the dm500s as they struggle sometimes moving a motorised dish. regards mdt

Looks like both you chaps hit the nail on the head, snow thawed overnight and the dish reset this morning all working again, but with more snow forecast I could have the same issue again ltr.
