it depends what you want to do,max digital 1000hd better specs than the original vu+solo,vu+solo2 all linux based and can run vix,loads out there.

if you have and are used to the dm500s then the dm800hdse clone at ?130 inc p+p would be my choice. fantastic support from many image teams, well made and fast aswell. if the price is too high then a vu+solo clone is a good box for the price(about ?97-?102) inc p+p and runs on linux E2 like the 800hdse but not as fast,regards mdt

Dont forget it the dm800se, not dm800 as there is a difference and dont want you disappointed..
