    New Box... Any Suggestions please?

    Hi Fella's

I've had a Spiderbox 900HD and an Openbox S9 in the past, my Openbox has just packed up and the Spider is at the inlaws, I'm in need of a new box.

I'd like something that has a decent EPG, and the possibility to stream the TV in high quality full screen to my laptop so I can watch the same channel in the bedroom

    Any suggestions much appreciate please?

    Thanks

Thanks Ramjet, I looked at your suggestions and have just got myself a VU+ Solo2

I like the airplay idea very much!

Out of interest, I currently only have a standard Sly dish and 1LNB, what would I be best getting to replace this, I only use the box for UK stuff so do not require anything motorised, but I need 2 lnbs right?

no.. need 1 dual lnb for a twin tuner box.. or a standard lnb for a single tuner

3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

if its a standard sly dish you wont find any cheaper lnb than a quad sly lnb on flea bay

so a quad lnb and a shotgun cable or 2 separate cables are best, one for each tuner

a twin lnb will cost more money and give nothing extra, whereas a quad is cheaper and also allows for further expansion in the future
sly do not fit or sell twin lnb,s, so buying a twin would cause fitting issues too

so my advice is buy a sly quad lnb with legacy adapter and fit it yourself, and double up on the cable, or replace it with a shotgun cable same as sly use for sly plus HD

also, if using the spiderbox you still need that 3rd output from that quad lnb
