    Which Box Would You Choose

    1) MaxDigital XP1000, single core 500mhx CPU @ ?149

    2) Technomate TM-Single, dual core 405mhz CPU @ ?169

    3) VU+ Solo single core 333mhz CPU @ ?179

    All available from WoS.

Just to view 28.2e in conjunction with Vu+ solo2

Box is hidden and controlled with magic eye setup that is excellent (used for old vermin boxes that were not straight forward infra red from memory).

Also want to use Logitech Harmony 525 (have Harmony 1 on solo2 and it's 100% working), I mention this as it's annoying when Harmony's don't quite work as they should do sometimes.

    Thanks in advance for feedback

That's the one WoS recommended so I'm really pleased that you have chosen that one.

After my Openbox S9 and S11 experiences, a week with Vix onSolo2 this should do the trick. It's nice that the TM accepts internal drive. My only concern is the real use of recording onto a single tuner box.

All the new TM's run Broadcom chipset 7335 which is used in the duo so the TM-TWIN, TM-2T and the TM-Single are basically a Duo except some have more flash ram, Good little boxes now and supported with the OE alliance and 4D so as long as you dont need a blackhole image then they are a great buy

I've only been using Vix for a week. Whilst I have no complaints at all, I don't like the idea of not being able to at least try the other popular image. Perhaps I'll load blackhole on my solo2 prior to commiting myself to TM

BH base their images on the Vu OI and there paid by Vu to do this, you are never going to see a genuine BH image on any thing but a Vu receiver unless you hack it to pieces and re-release it like the sim2 team do for the DM clones.

I have been using the T2 and a Twin for a good while now and they both work as well as my Vu's ( ultimo, Duo, Duo LE, Uno ). There are a few small outstanding issues like media playback of avi's etc but those are being worked on.

overall i would be happy to recommend any of the 3 TM linux boxes digicon quotes.
