I just tried the firmware file form this post: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ml#post1983684

Used the free version od 7zip and it opened it fine also no problems with the download either

I just downloaded that file and the essential guide file

both open and extract ok using total commander, winzip, winrar and 7zip

whatever your problem is, its not that particular file, so its something wrong at your end, especially when everybody else can open it and extract the firmware

I am surprised that there hasnt been any updated firmware for this or the combo since january 2013

last year there were several updates, but not an update from blademedia for 8 months now !

Just seen one the other day with the 9991 for Combo but can't recall were.

you sure because the official blade site hasn't had updates for either box since January, usually the 9991 updates come out after the official comes out.

just tried the oct 2012 and jan 2013 firmwares and cant open jsc on 7w, yet it works ok on my spider, wonder if its due to the blade using an older cc**m ?

I believe the tm5402 opens 7w so maybe its about time blade updated their patch and also the cc**m used ? (blade is 2.011 and spider is 2.14)

The version on the TM5402 is also 2.0.11 which as the blade does is emulate the cam

well I am at a loss to understand why I cannot decode those jsc on the blade and yet I can on the spider with the same login details, same router , same everything, just a piggy back off the spider and the spider on standby, or both on the same channel at the same time, one working , one not (different logins , even swapping logins doesnt change the result)

this was why I thought it was the patch, as they both work fine on c5HD, even at the same time

Blade have finally released a new official firmware for the BM7000s this month after a year long wait, so won't be long until a patched version is released.

cheers mate very much appreciated, I was reading on another site that the EPG is better with this update

"The big difference i can see is that i didn't need to go to the '7 Day EPG' channel to see the next 7 days EPG. The EFG guide was already populated for the week ahead, it appears to have stored the EPG from the '7 Day EPG' update i did last night."

Thank you digicon been waiting for this upgrade for ages, but i still can not get the 7 day EPG on Premium channels only on the free to air ones BBC - ITV etc would doing a factory reset help i have all my data saved so that i can enter it back in the 9991 menue
