So is it worth getting a Diabolo cam?

I've got my system setup now, and I'm pulling in most stuff between 60E-60W. I'm running a technomate 5400, which gets the softcams patched as and when necessary, and I'm usually found parked on Thor 1w on the digitv channels.
Is it worth me getting a diabolo cam?
I'm uncertain as to what they do exactly. Obviously, it can be patched, and opens some packages. will it open stuff over and above the simple patches on the technomate?
Any advice at all would be appreciated.

Usually opens the C+Sport channels on THOR using the UNDERWORLD files,however the last file 173 does'nt work on Conax.Hope this helps.Cheers Chas.

No its not currently worth it as diablo has lost its three conax packages recently...although diablo have promised new hardware soon so just wait a tad..

I agree with SaDiQ999uK...i am a bit dissapointed with my Diablo 2.3....I have only had it for 3 weeks, and i never had a CAM before. Only this week encryption was altered to affect several channels that showed 3pm football matches...I had to again resort to crappy online streaming to watch footy.....I only managed to watch my local side twice before conax was changed ...but that is the gamble my friend...I suppose we all hope that Duolabs will come up with something really cool that will alllow the opening of new channels. You could take the gamble and hope that the new product uses the diablo 2.3 card, or maybe a new card will be available.....who knows ???

It's not worth it at the minute, It seems to me that if sly has never been cracked then it's possible that these new encryptions may not be cracked either. cs seems to be the way to go if you want view footy, but that means forking out more cash.

Thats the bad thing with digitv, often four or five channels will show the same game, i dont understand why they dont use five channels to show five different games with all the audios required!

you could buy an ip box like the one listed on my avatar
its really good and its server carries a lot of good packages
totally free,,,you will have 3pm kick offs and champions league,also movies,docs and ~~~~...and ive had mine nearly 2months now and it works a treat,no pics freezing like some servers and easy to use..the server is only for the owners of this particular box,so i guess this is how they make their money
by you buying their box...mine cost 100quid but they have gone up a little since i got mine..

I wouldn't watch football, if Murdoch paid me, so no interest there. I'm after films/docs.

Of Course thats good business sence.... to those people who most are interested in this hobby they have lost a lot of channels lately, so you are more likely to pay more for the privilage now by buying certain receivers......

Sounds like a great little receiver ....

if i get 6 or 7 months out of it ive done ok cos the cost of
murdochs lot is far more than what ive paid over 6months and
not as many good chnls....

also in the 2months ive had it i have needed only 1 update for
the aljazeera package and it took only a few seconds and went
directly to the box...easy peezy

ps i have a diablo too and its never opened anywhere
near as many chnls as this box!!
also you name a card or cam that lasts longer than 2
years????...if you want guarantees guys buy a sky sub
and change hobbies....
