    Connecting to SES7 108.2 E

    Hi

I am newbie to satellite dishes. On my recent trip to India I brought with me a Airtel Set top box which connects to SES7 108.2 E satellite. I was wondering whether I can get this to work in the UK. If its possible what gear do I need? And I live in Colchester, Essex.

    Thanks in advance

you cannot get anything more than between about 45 to 60 degrees west or east here in the uk, so 108.2e is out of the question as its below the horizon

typically we would say you get from 42e to 45w in the uk

You can probably get a little further round but it all depends on location, lay of the land and how high up you are, Seen a post recently of someone with 70? east in the UK.

But Ramjet is pretty much spot on 108.2? east is too far down and off the horizon for anyone in the UK
