What baffles me is we all think it's probably going to go off at some point this year, so how on earth can they be advertising 1 year & then a further year.

I bet s~y are laughing their socks off at the fly by nighters on ebay.

              Skybox F5 back up

              Hi All.
Wouldn't mind some help from someone more knowledgeable than me. Bought a Skybox and am frightened the kids will bugger up the settings.
Looks like the firmware is easy to reinstall?

How can I back up the cam stuff? What bits are important?

Can this cam stuff be transferred to another box used in the same house?

              All guidance appreciated.

              Regards

              PB

If its like the F3 it has a hidden menu that you need to access by a code. Keep that from them and they cannot affect it. Your cccam details can be saved to one side for future reintroduction into your box.

a few confused replies there,,, stick a usb stick into the box, go thru the menus untill you see dump by usb.
once there dump as much as relevant info to a usb stick, ie image cccam config , newcamd list whatever you think is needed in case of a reinstall.
