Looking for a cheap HD box

Can anyone recommend a cheap hd box. I just wanna use it to get
PLTV on 10 e. so it it should be a box where i can input keys. Im not really interested in doing all the other stuff like on Spiderbox as it sounds too complicated, I like things simple, cheers

i wouldnt advise anyone to get a box for 10 east alone as it can go down at any moment. if you have a motorised dish get yourself a easy to use box like a tm5402hd for ?130... it opens quite a bit via softcam and has the option of biss keys and a lan connection for the other stuff and is easy to update and use with support being good aswell, if ?130 is too much then a fearguson ariva or openbox are hd and can do keys, softcam ect with a f3 at about ?50 and an ariva for about ?75. regards mdt

Hi again mdt, just to clarify, I dont have motorised. I have a 1mtr dish at 39 e which i am thinking of moving to 10 e and i have an 80 cm pointed at both 7 e and 13 east. Does that make a differance to your recommendation?

it certainly would seeing as pltv on 10e has switched encryptions so a very wise posted reply in post number 2 by mdt

never buy a box just for one channel, as this hobby can easily move the goalposts at any moment

well PLTV has gone now and wont be coming back on that freq... so if you dont want to motorise then id stay as you are or possibly move the 80cm to 19.2e/13e unless there is a certain channel you want on 7 east. regards mdt

Just to let you know the service123 channel is just a temporary solution for the downlink studios to give them time to switch to tandberg encryption from biss.

you can more or less say this has finished for good now and as ramjet and mdt state will never return, so any investment to receive EPL @10 east is futile at the least
