Basic help required - Which Box? Confused

My only experience is of cable receivers.

I want a satellite box with all the channels (need to watch Sports and Asian channels mainly). HD is preferred but not essential.
I am good with technology and computers but a virgin as far as dealing with these type of receivers!
What box do I get? There are so many! I want a reliable one which wont require me to update it every month or so if possible....how much am I looking at?

    Thanks!!!

There is a limit we can talk about this kind of boxes, in my opinion blade7000hd is a good box with auto update on line I think around ?149 each could be cheaper if you shop around.
Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

I've used one of those blackbox 500 receiver and it was awful...live sports (football matches) are unwatchable, a freeze every 5 seconds makes it unbearable and painful.
