What do you need to watch Sky..etc..

I recently brough a Eurovox for my cable setup. My mate does not have cable but has the sky dish and wires still setup. He wants what i have or even more with thr 3pm footy.

My question is....what does he need as i aint got a clue? Is it just as simple as the cable evox.....software...plug in...scan...job done?

a valid sub to sky or his own motorised dish to tune in to the satelites or dont bt do bt vision is it called or something like that

Cable tv is for lazy people, no insult intended unless you do image creating..
Satellite tv has its whole own complexion..
Its not possible to view sky uk without sub.. You however have options otherwise, you could get a satellite dish at least 80cm and tune in to thor to watch the digitv package for free, this package shows 250 out of 360 prem games each year with various audios..however satellite setups need alot of attention as packages often go..
Why not look at a motorised setup?

yes.....and once you go motorised you will get hooked and spend hours on here like we do....

theres far better packages than sky that you can get from a motorised set up. Its far better than cable

If your mate has internet access then he can get Sky for free if he joins a cardshare server, this is ofcourse highly illegal. He can also get just about any Pay-TV package for free using this method.

Due to forum rules I cannot go into details, but it is easy to setup. He would need to buy a satellite box which is capable of sharing, a normal Sky box is useless.

It isnt, with keys no one has to pay, however cardsharing means the host has to pay so its not really free...

suppose so well at least for every 1 person who pays a sub 1000s get it for free. Suppose thats why its cardsharing caus you pretty much swap your sub with everyone else so you get all subs avaliable.

But its still easy to get all packages even if you dont have a valid sub. Just you can get better quality shares if you have somthing to offer.
