dish size and advantage help

hi i would like to know the advantage you have with a big dish i can imagine it to find more sattelites and more channels or is there anything else?. some dishes are 60cm others iv seen are 2m whats the difference? thanks

pure and simple the bigger the dish the more signal it pulls in

its also handy to have a bigger dish in really bad rain storm
