There was a post on this before on some of the sat forums a while back saying they were going to go for a full take over of premiere it also said that mr murdock was looking in to selling his share in NDS Videoguard to found this as they only own 49% of it so if this is true then he dont own nds videoguard at all as he would have to own about 51% of it strange as people always say he owns it or newscrop own it but still a main share holder , the firm that own 51% is called permira says on google there a private equity firm now thats not saying he don't own that but .

On another note dose this mean if you use videoguard they are going to try for a take over

Premiere to be fair is a very poor version of Sky, its far from been as engaging no family channels like Sky 1 or 2, there is no special feeling about Premiere as you get from having Sky in the UK .... They need to do a lot of work.... and debts of over 250 million id say it Mr M........ will get it on the cheap if he real pushes them... not the first time this operator has gone bankrupt (Premiere has been two different services previously all have had there finiacial difficultys.

Germans tend not to waist money on these sorts of things with only 2-3 milllion premiere customers and a population of over 60 million (There is very little money to be made by NDS or Rupert M....... in Germany ) it will fail in a few years...

premiere still has the best coverage of epl...far better pics and audio than any other european provider...you watch on any other provider and you can hardly hear the crowd,on prem its as good as slys coverage soround sound the lot.....
as for special feelings.. well i only got them when i was skanking sly box office....

i find the picture on Premiere awful.. badly pixelated, very juddery.. only good on close ups.. My 37" LG HD TV doesnt like it at all.. I find Sky IT and Nova Sports CZ good

I find that to rid of the two black strips on nova sport you have to play with your receivers aspect ratio then change it back after the match!

Premiere only get a rebroadcasted signal from either Sky broadcasting or the EPL broadcasting distrabution system, as my dear friend opsmonkey pointed out Nova also have a good line up of games (realy bad picture also on Sony Bravia 40 inch Lcd)

Premiere would have little or no sports if it were not for Arena going virtualy bankrupt ....Arena had all the sports but could no longed pay for the rights so Premiere put up the money .... in this deal Premiere & Arena share the rights to show German Fotball, EPL, SPL & Golf .

I believe Arena & Premiere have lost all coverage of bundesliga from next season and Eurosport have now bought all the rights, Premiere and Arena will have to source new or extended Sports fixture to keep customers happy .... No football now a days means no Money....

its a shame i cant seem to get a decent pic on nova on my 42in
plasma,,,whatever i try the camera angle seems to be far away
from the pitch,a bit like italian games....
but going back to prem i find pics quality very good and always
watch the games on here when showing....i think the award for worst pics quality has to be digitalb..sound dropping out pixelation etc...

I totaly agree with you.... Its all because they pick up a second hand signal probably Duplex it for different transmittions .... So by the time it sent out via satellite the signal quality has been reduced at least 3-4 times... and on our new Plasma & LCD Tvs it looks shocking .... its like the bad old days of cable TV no matter how you tuned you tv set the picture looked crap....

I find the nova sport and cinema channels have the best pic and sound on my 40" samsung LCD some matches on on some other sats have pixulated pics especially when the players are running up and down
