need help wiring up 2 dishes

hi im looking for advice on the way i should wire up 2 sky dishes i have one for 28.2e and the other is hotbird , i was playing around with it today and i ran i feed from the one dish to the other via the lnb ports , both lnbs are quads so the signal from the hotbird dish is going through the other lnb then into my skybox using another lnb port on the 28.2 dish, im not sure if its the right way to do it or would it cause malfunctin somewhere any help cheers guys

thanks guys, although i did a scan and both satelittes are picking up all the channels i just changed it overto the other sat using the menu on the dreambox , but ill get one of those switch things and do it right , ill disconnect the hotbird one for the time being , oh my hotbird sat was only picking up 14 channels and the dish is spot on its just a standard sky dish though , i did this with a straight feed to my dreambox no other connections in the way, any ideas on how its only 14 channels ??

you need to put a cheap 4-way diseqc switch where the sly dish is, and have the hotbird feed going to say feed B and a cable from the sly lnb to feed C , and the feed from the common output on the switch goes down to the receiver

then setup the receiver tuner setup and tell it that hotbird is on B and astra 2 is on C, and the box will switch the diseqc switch as required

get yourself a couple of cheap 2x1 diseqc switches(1 spare) connect 1 feed from the 28.2e dish to input A and one from the 13e dish into input B and then run the co-ax fron output/to stb to your reciever then select dis 1.0 in the menu a set A OR 1 to astra and B or 2 to hotbird. the spare switch is incase you want 2 feeds or a second box in another room,regards mdt
