    help choosing new satbox

Hi , iam looking to buy a new receiver to connect to my existing sly dish & replace my sly+hd box , it needs to be at least a twin tuner box so I can record 1 or 2 channels at the same time as watching another if possible, also needs to be easy to setup & use, except ccam, Ncamd plus not to expensive ?150 ish.Any suggestions would be a help.
    Thanks, gooner18

      Hi Gooner18,

The cheapest what i would call twin tuner satellite receiver would be the Technomate TM-2T which currently retails at ?219 its Linux E2 and supports exactly what you want, there are other say something like the Amiko alien models but having no experience of these i cannot offer a valid opinion, Although there is a thread about them so maybe you could find a little bit more info about them before you splash the cash so to speak.

A quick search yielded this thread that may help: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...a-2-os-306052/

      Regards

Thanks for your replies,I have looked at the AA2`s but I must say that the linux system sat boxes look very complicated to setup & use,I can`t seem to find a Idiot`s guide on how to set one of these receivers up from start to finish (ie what patches & software you have to load first & what order you have to load them ) also would I connect the twin cable from my sly dish to the twin tuner Box in the same way as to the sly+hd box? are there any plug & play twin tuner boxes that would do the same job.
          thanks .
