    Motorised dish set up help!

Hi all, I've bought a 80cm motorised dish. Set all the bracket up yesterday, got it all plumb. Put the motor on, went to put the dish on to find its hitting my house wall trying to get due south. I knew I would only get sats on the east but its made it very difficult to set up, currently only getting 9.0e,19.2e,23.5e,28.2e. Any advice would be grateful thank you

lagerland correct thats your best shots go higher, i know sometimes if you get brackets that are longer from the wall outwards then it moves the dish away from the wall more and that can help, if you go high make sure you get brackets that will clear your gutter so pole can go above gutter, all silly things but seen people not get far enough reaching brackets, and its a wasted day, hope you get sorted

It all depends if you want any Sats after 2e. If not, set up dish with motor on the ground first. You only need the the motor to be in line with the dish and LNB, when it is pointing true south, and then carry it to the pole, After that you could set it up to any sat within your range.
