    PC as a Sat Receiver

    Hi,

I have a media pc that is pretty much as up to date as possible.

I was wondering if anyone was running a PC as a Sat receiver and what software
was the best for the job?

I'm yet to purchase a sat card but I will get a dual capable DVB-S 2 card.
TBS Dual DVB-S2 High Definition Digital Satellite Tuner PCI Express Card HD (DVB-S2/DVB-S) Receiver

Can anyone please advise if this is worth doing?
    Quality of HD?
I have a line I'd like to use with it for s*y.

Can I use available sat chan scans and import them like I would on a sat box?

    Any advice most appreciated!

Please read the Rules before you ask anything further on this subject that i underlined : http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f5/forum-rules-2/

I run a TBS6925 card in my purpose built HTPC which also acts as my main media center for Blu Rays/3D etc...

I dont actually run any software with the Sat card as it is mainly used for fringe reception and difficult to get Transponders, I am sure someone will be able to fill in the gaps for the required software thatyou want to run for your so called Gift, But unfortunately we cannot discuss this in great detail.
