    3g router dm500 problem

Hi guys. I'm having some trouble wondering if you could help, set my dm500s up ready to go connected to my vermin bb works fine. So the task now is to take box to caravan an somehow get a steady internet connection. I've bought the 3g router and the dongle and a sim fully loaded with gb data. They are compatible as I checked. So last night I had a play around firstly I checked the dongle worked I installed it on the laptop and it works fine. So I turned on the 3g router and connected my dongle via the USB. 3g light isn't a lit so I then connect an Ethernet to the dm500 still no 3g light on the router. Don't know why but then I connect hen connect an Ethernet from the router to the laptop thinking this will help the situation but hey presto nothing. If any one has any idea what I do plz help. I don't want to use the laptop at the van would prefer to just have 3g router dongle an box. Any one know how to set this up. I've read one thread where it tells you too log in to router. I have attempted this but it asks for pin an user and password. Any suggestions

you have to go into the router page and set up the dongle provider ie voda/3/tmobile etc so it can connect once that is done reboot and you should be good to go depending what router you have you can google the password and name if it has been changed just reset the router and use the standard name and password

            Hi lads
right so i did as mentioned and went into the router settings - inputted relevant info and intially it would connect to the 3g dongle. I did a router reset and hey presto working great. I then connected an ethernet to the dreambox and got it going on the 3g happy days. Im gonna go to the van at the weekend and test it there. Im getting a glitch every 8 seconds and i imagine that may fluctuate depending on where iam and what network im using. I can actually live with the glitch as it stands but could be a different ball game up at the site. The dongle is unlocked so i can experiment with different networks - has anyone got any other ideas on how to improve connection. Is there anything I could change in the router/dongle/dm500 settings. Also could it be the image? I prob sound like a moaning **** and should be glad i got it going but there may be something that could improve glitching if anyone knows??

remember you can go into your router home page and check the signal strength of your signal you want at ;east about a 35% strength preferably over 50% you just have to try different sim card providers till you get the best reception, remember you have to go back into the router settings to input the different providers
