hi all, help needed please, i have an 80cm motorised system with an smart oxide 0.1db lnb never any trouble with signal around 74% on most sats, i upgraded for a better performance to a inverto black ultra single 0.2db lnb but now after just swapping over i am getting no signal at all on all sats, so i put the old lnb back and back on 74% again, could the inverto be faulty? cant understand please help?, i am in the notts area dish faceing southwards.

offhand it sounds like its faulty if your sure it was connected up ok.can you get someone else to try it?
make sure you dont have LNBF showing on the box as if the lnb has an internal short you could damage the box.
I"ve found very little difference between the blk ultra lnb compared to the TM1 gold series or the smart titanium.(not scientifically tested but just an observation) -
The Black Ultra excels in low band areas compared to other LNB's, i have tested the BU, Smart Tit and Black Pro and various other makes and from testing they all have different strengths at pulling in weaker signals in different areas of the Lo and Hi bands so no one is better than another if it works it works if it does not well try another
