    Best value box

Hi guys I'm sorry if this is yet another newbie question that's been covered a million times before but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for on here,
im trying to find my best value box for a newbie I've been looking at the blade media 7000s which seems to do everything I'm after but has very little support, where as the dream box 8000 has loads of support, but the price tag has amassive range from ?120 to upward of ?400 for the same box, which doesn't sit right with me,
so what Is the best box for around the ?150 price tag? Or do I need to spend a bit more,

the blade does have good support as does its step-brother the tm5402s, but they are on the simpler side of satellite boxes
the problem here is so many boxes exist and can do different tasks and at different price ranges, never mind originals versus clones
and a dreambox 8000 is usually more like ?700 to ?800 not ?400, and was top of its range a few years ago but I wouldnt buy one now
for linux boxes you wont beat an original vu like the duo or solo2 but you will pay more than your budget allows
speaking personally I would not buy a clone box !

budget wise the new spiderbox 6000 HD may well fit the bill for starting out and at less than ?100

you will find some good and basic info in here too http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-setup-301108/

how many people on here have clone dms? and have had so for years, running smoothly? Nothing wrong with clones imo

I have tested more than one clone and compared it to an original using the same images (cracked for the clone) and imho the originals are far superior with less problems
there is a programme on the tv at the moment called "fake britain" comparing fake items like iphones and chargers against real ones and clearly the originals are better and safer too
I dont care how many people have clones, the fact is they are worse than the real thing and my experiences mean I would not buy another one - period
I would also recommend against buying anything else that is a clone especially electrical items that require mains power to charge or operate them, of that there is no question, as it could ruin or end your life !

I would avoid the vu clones ... still hearing of to many problems with them, on the other hand have 2 dm clones running with no probs

also have a look at the technomate single, a good valve box but not as plug and play as the blade/tm5402/spiderbox

The Blade can pick up the EPG data stream you just have to leave it on the EPG channel for long enough for it to populate
