    diseqc switch

    Looking to buy external diseqc switch for connecting 4 LNBs, any model or spec. should I look for?

    Hi Adam_UK,

    They are all pretty similar in spec but obviously the one to go for would be the one that has less db loss per output, Typically Diseqc switches lose within the range of 3-4db per input but some brands have only a -2db loss so are better still, Also consider if its going outside best to get one in a weather proof housing.

      They are all much the same, so get a 3 quid one off eBay... Unless you are willing to spend ?75+

        Yep. I bought the cheapest one I could find on Ebay (?3 - ?4). Came with a plastic cover. Been using it for a couple of years now with no problems. That was for 13e, 19.2e & 28.2e, so all fairly strong sats.

        If one or more of your sats are weak, then it may be best to start looking at the specs for low insertion loss, as digicon says.
