have subscribed to sentanta

ok son in law has a s*y +box in his dinning room he wanted to get sentata package and so subscribed to it ,they told him he was on but when he went into his channel list and pressed sentanta 1 it came up saying no satalite signal so he foned them they told him to do something to get it working think it was manual input??but it was in his new found list ,does he have to scan for all these channles or does he tell them to f*** off ????and how does he go about getting them all scanned and into his channles list ?

setanta is in the normal sky guide...you say it says no sat signal on this chnl...does it do this on any others?...seems to me that its probably one of the 4 transponders thats gone down in the lnb,when this happens most other chnls seem fine..just try switching lnbs with yours to see if it cures it...if not that its probably the tuner in box...

a woman told him to change freq and h to v and he got sentanta 1 but he couldnt get it to his list on his box he had to go into new channles list to view it

the thing is he gets the rest of the package on his main menu list (you know like arsenal channel 489 or whatever it is ) he just doesnt get the sentanta 1and 2 and golf and irsh is there a way he can manulay get them ?imean by changing freq and all that?its been ages since i been iside a real sky box

he could get the frequency,s for them on lyngsat and go to add chnls that way,,sky have been changing quite a lot of chnl frequencys lately,,but he would still have to go to other chnls to view them,,and i dont think you can record them off there either,it has to be through the planner...whats baffling is when sky generally do this they update the frq via software update quite quickly....

there is no way you can alter the progs on the planner only sky can do that,,,,and watching them through other chnls and not being able to record them is no good!!!....i would ring em and complain...after trying a s/ware d/load
