    Advice Please

Hi Guys. At the minute I have a sly mini dish and also a 60cm monoblock on 19.2 and 13. Obviously there are 2x cable feeds into my house (one from each dish). What I'm wanting to know is, is there any way I can buy a receiver that has 2x satelitte inputs enableing me to watch either satellites whenever I want. Obviously id need a ........ aswell and wouldnt mind someone pointing me in the right direction. Many Thanks in advance

Just edited you post my friend we cannot talk about anything to do with C/S full stop. As for your question yes a twin tuner will work one feed for 28.2? east and one feed for your monoblock

almost any receiver can use all sats without the need for two inputs. By using a diseqc switch. I'm not sure how this would work with the monoblock as I'm assuming it has internal diseqc. So the setup may be a bit tricky. I'm sure someone will be able to elaborate.

It can be done via a 2 way splitter 1 cable from the monoblock and then 2 out from the 2 way splitter into a now needed 4/1 diseqc switch so you would have Monoblock on Input A for 13? east Input B for 19.2? east and input C for 28.2? east

          Its as simple as that

Make sure that you use a splitter that has a dc passthrough on both outputs. Although I think the vast majority of splitters do this, I have seen ones with dc passthrough on only 1 output, and some with no dc passthrough at all.

Hi, I have some old satellite boxes and when I scan my monoblock (Eutelsat 16 and hotbird 13) they only find the Hotbird channels. would the 2 way splitter and 4/1 diseqc solve that problem? The channels are there, I can see them on boxes which where tuned in when I used two separarte dishes.

                Please comment. Thanks, Arthur
