I have never heard of anyone doing that. Not sure if you could ever do it.

Linux images are built specifically for different machines and different chipsets so you would need an image specifically written for that box and its specification. If you want to be the leader in doing that keep us informed.

There was a project a few years back that succeeded in writing a custom patched image or firmware to a older Amstrad model but that project was wound up a long time ago and the forum that hosted the files has since been swooped up by F.A.C.T.

I would not no how to go about it personally but you would have to choose the box you wanted try it on, then maybe open the box up and find what chipset it had, then look on the net for the corelevel drivers and then somehow marry it all together with some form of programming within the enigma2 enviroment. Sounds like a lot of hard work to me especially if your not a coder.

This is about as far as the original project ever got, so i doubt youd be able to make any headway to be honest.

            Code:

if your struggling to set up a basic e1 box then i dont see your sly box ambitions getting very far. if your stuck on your dm500c then post your problems(within the rules) and you will get help in the dreambox section, regards mdt
