    Need Some Advice..

ATM i own a skybox f5, at the start everything was great.. But now, it scrambles and freezes quite often.. Probably freezes more than it actually plays TBH. Im considering spending big and getting the VU Solo 2 i think its called, this is what my DONTTALKABOUT has. He actually recommended it. He also assures me that all these faults are on my side. Does anyone own 1 of these Receivers and how does it run compared to a more basic box like the skybox f5. Im a noob when it comes to things like this hence why im asking for advice, i dont want to go out and spend ?300 for the box to do the same thing as my current 1. Any help is greatly appreciated, thankyou.

They are worlds apart in terms of pretty much everything, TBH if you dont need a twin tuner then there are still plenty of receives available that will blow the F5 out of the water

        Hi mate,

You would be better listing your requirements for a satellite receiver as i could name quite a few to you, Twin tuner basically watch one channelk and record another at the same time

        Regards

a dreambox 800hd se clone would be a fair starting point ?144ish delivered from china you could learn about Linux sat boxes for not a lot of money, they are totally different from the f5 plug and play so there will be a learning curve ,original boxes will start at around ?200 + with the vu + duo2 coming in at about ?450 and they are not available till July 8th its a lot of money if you are not familiar with Linux boxes. There is loads of choice out there give us some of your requirements and will see if we can narrow it down abit
