you plug the receiver into your broadband router and the receiver talks to a server where it gets the nesessary files in order for you to watch..

It is not part of a cardshare ring.. it connects to one dedicated server.. that, generally goes kaput 12 months after conception.. then.. low and behold, a new IP receiver hits the market with a new server that unlocks all the channels your old IP receiver used too..

It's a free server so its not bad.. i got 8 months out of the Innovative before the server went down and the Maxx hit the market

thats fine mate.. all boxes only use about 56Kbps of data.. I ran my first box off 512Mb broadband with no probs..

When you say its not constant, do you mean its not on 24/7..?? As you need a constant connection to view.
