if you turn off the broadband you will only get FTA channels.. you will not get any encrypted channels to clear on 28E with the Maxx

          Only european broadcasters

ive got a maxx 1000 receiver that works via the internet via a ethernet cable and i dont think you can use mobile broadband with this cos its not got a usb connection unless you can get a usb to ethernet adaptor then it may work ,but i wouldnt hold much hope :-(
also i used to have a 3 mobile broadband that had a shit signal so i got a 5metre usb to usb cable and but it outside in a sandwich box and put it threw an air vent and full signal all the time
so if you can get an ethernet to usb then thats a way to get a full signal

you can get mobile broadband wireless routers to overcome this problem.. also ethernet to usb connectors are easily available and work fine..

                      Receiver to the router..

it may just be a wireless router, ie have no ethernet port.. if this is the case you will need to plug one of these into the receiver's ethernet port..

                      USB to Ethernet

then plug a wireless usb dongle like this into the usb end..
