    Advice

Hi, I am fairly new to the whole sattelite stuff...I have had a skybox f5 ........................... running through my sly dish.

and I'm looking to upgrade to get the foreign channels so I can watch the 3pm ko's.

There is a dish that feeds next doors flat (which is now empty) pointing at approx 150 south east.

I was wondering is it worth wiring a feed to this dish, would I get anything or should I pay for the sattelite installers to come install me a rotating dish?

satellites point from about 45w to 45e passing through zero which is due south of greenwich - london

so any dish next door will point somewhere in that range and not 150 southeast !

Sorry for being naive and not reading the rules first. Just read them now.

Thanks for the advice, I think getting a motorised dish installed is my best bet

yes mate but the setup is not plug & play same as the F5

I would do a lot of reading 1st before buying the setup

you mean like getting a better box that will cope with a motorised dish?

Ahh I see. Can you point me in the direction of any good info I will need? The installer I have looked at can provide a motorised dish, appropriate box plus setup. Might be just as well getting the whole package as I need it for the start of the footy season

I dont think you will get any idea as yet on what is needed to get 3pm saturday kickoffs and from where
clearly you wont get them on sly or bt sports so need "foreign" channels from somewhere that can be decoded
this tends to vary every season and according to any ecm measures taken
so its one thing buying a receiver or any "gifts", its quite another actually decoding the channels as well as getting them
I tend to look for them on s*tanta on 28e and bulsat on 39e myself, and usually with a spiderbox as its so easy to use

every year you get posts asking where to get the footy, and every year we have many threads talking about this or that or the other
bulsat tends to be constant over the last few years just by using a softcam on a patched box (nova sport and diema)

maybe a spiderbox 6000 HD (WITH "GIFT") and a darkmotor or technomate motor may do the trick for you ?

but as always its wait and see and too early to call, same as trying to call the number a roulette ball will land on just as it leaves the croupiers hand

I have never known anybody get every channel from every satellite and be able to watch them all (the full package)

Thanks for clearing that up mate. I read as much about it as I can in the next few days and hold my horses until the season starts to see what will be the best bet. I just want to get a few 3pms as sat there with no game on a Saturday afternoon watching ssn bores the hell out of me!

                  Thanks again
