    cccam on tmobile 3g

    Hi all.

I live outin ther sticks and believe it or not i get way way faster mobile internet than i do wired bb.

Ibought a tmobile sim and dongle and a 3g router.

I can connect my tv, 360, ps3, and dreambox to the network and it woks fine, but i cannot get cccam to work.

The box cionnects to the net fine and am able to use tspanel to download packages ok but cccam wont work.

I have used a lead from next doors router and it works fine so the box, line and server are fine.

Any ideas on how i can get it to work on the 3g??

    Thanks in advance

Any idea why? I tried online gaming, streaming from icefilms, using torrents, all of which seemed to work perfectly. I can't see those being so different traffic wise. Also seems bizarre they would block this but allow filesharing.

I'm looking at it and wondering 2 things.
Would using a VPN help in anyvay?
My server like most hase a no-ip type email address. Would asking for and using a standard numerical one help?

      Cheers

not sure how they can block it, but as you say you could try the I-p numerical addy instead of the no-ip , to get it just open command prompt and ping the no-ip address, this will give the actual physical address in numerical form. only issue I see here is if server side don't have a static allocated I-p , so may change periodically , you would then need to ping again to establish the new I-p addy and update your config accordingly.

          Hi mate.

Yeah I tried that to no avail. I can ping it from my pc on the 3G. Changed to the numerical one. Still no joy with cccam.

If I can ping it. That means They are not blocking the address.

Could the files sent too and fro be too small data wise?

What I don't get is why/how tmobile would do this, If file sharing is allowed and works fine?

I'm not on the default port so I can't see that being an issue.

Any other ideas as I'm sure people will fall into the same trap as me. I bought a card with 6 months unlimited browsing and 1gig downloads, thought it would be a belter. The ping is non existent (tower 200 yards away and I max out both up and download)

the fact you can ping the address suggests that the provider hasn't blocked a connection so I see no reason why it wont work (maybe I`m missing something here). how about if you set dongle up on pc/lappy then share internet connection in pc/lappy settings then run network cable to box, (this suggestion is just for testing purposes only obviously as you wont want it that way 24/7)

Yeah I'm going to try that when I get back on Monday. I read a thing that cccam traffic itself can be easily blocked.
So far I have tested the net on the box with the dongle and it connects to the web fine.
Used the neighbours broadband to test and cccam works fine so I know my line and server is good.
I have 46 ms of ping and 7mb up and 2mb down (tower is 300 yards away!) so that's more than ample.
                  Removed tmobiles content lock.
The port is open and for belt and braces removed all security etc.
I can ping the server fine. That gave me the physical address, I amended my line and it still did not work.
Next step Monday is to try to share the Internet connection as suggested. If that does not work I will try a vpn on my computer.
I also have a ddwrt flashed router I can install a vpn on the piggy back it to my 3G router connecting the receiver to the ddwrt.

After that I'm out of luck . I'm one if these people who won't say oh it won't work. I want to know why and how I can make it do what I want.
I'm fairly sure the vpn will do it. But I want to use that as the last option rather than skip to it.

Thanks for all the suggestions thus far .
