Protex 9600ip you can not go wrong in getting one, just a brill receiver, had a few problems with the server a few days ago, now all up and running ok. just every package you can get but no Nova or pink. its very easy to set up with Lan cable or bridge router. I would say its a easy receiver to use. The picture Quality and audio are just as good as my HD rec. Just one more thing to add anybody who is thinking of buying one, go to a official sat dealer for the uk official uk version.
Just be aware of this clone (The Maxx1000) is identical to the Nanoxx/protex9600ip,it has missing safety components and is illegal to sell in europe for safety reasons and could actually catch on FIRE.
The Maxx1000 the illegal one has NO power switch on the rear of rec, imported from some where in far east.

thanks m8 but like i said i am very new 2 all this and dont know how 2 remove it was not even sure that my post would get on as i am not sure what i am doing at all this may be a good hobby when you know what your doing but i have a very long way 2 go i think some 1 did ask me what softwear the box is runing its bt 1.3 sww t57 k16 dont know if thats a help at all what i could do with is a step 2 step gide on how 2 get it all working like i said be 4 my motor works on my tech box fine but can not get it 2 move on this box thanks

Press menu, installation press ok,now showing antenna settings,ok again, scroll down to motor right to left to get usals, now scroll back up to satellite press ok and you will see sat list, pick the one you want and scroll down to seach channels press ok and down load will begin, and same again until you have got all the sats you want.
Bt 134 swt57 k17 have you got in rec?? . GOOD LUCK

Are you moving your motor from two different boxes?

I'm in a similar position to you with a TM6800HDS and NANOxx9600IP and was told that i should NOT be motoring from two different boxes for fear of overrunning the end stops (?). So i motor from the TM box using a quad LNB. Bit of a fuss but once you're used to it .. and both boxes are ON most of the time so no hassle.

hi mate 1st i must say thanks for being very help full but i never had a lot of luck with usals i use diseqc 1.2 on my 2 technomate box/s can i set that up on my new box and how plz sorry if i seem dim but i am geting on a bit in years the olkd saying pops in my mind old dogs and new tricks but this old dog is trying very at time think its true what they say this hobby can send 1 mad think i am not far off that now

no m8 i dont have it in rec that i know of like i say the box was set up at the shop up north last week when i was up that way and my home is in the south the guy at the shop has not come back 2 me and i asked him the same stuff i am back up north in 3 weeks time so if i dont have it set up right by then i will be going back 2 the shop with the box from what i can see they are a very good box just hard 2 find stuff out about them and on how 2 set them up right just as well i dont have a wife or i am sure she would have killd me by now as i am not far off being mad bet at some time you all been close 2 going mad a tc all

hi mate just 2 keep you up 2 date with what going on and it may help some 1 with the same prob i did what you said and still my motor did not move so now i have a lmb with 4 out lets on it the motor 1 is pluged in 2 my technomate and that moves fine the maxx box is just on the lead from the dish and works fine like that means i move the dish with the tecnomate i all so have my 3rd box upstairs on the loop with the techonmate i all so did loop the max box with the tech 1st that all worked so i got over it for now not the way i want it set but i am back up north in a few weeks time will take the maxx box vack 2 the shop so he can show me how 2 make the motor on it that all said it is the best box ever the maxx and who said it takes all the fun out of it its had me pulling my hair out trying 2 set up so its works for now ok in a round about way so thanks m8 for all your help wish their was more about like you and may be 1 day some 1 will make a step by step box that is help full for this box my dad wants the same box now but told him 2 wait as his in his 80s and it would do his head in 2 set up tc all have a happy day

Glad you have got it all sorted now,just one more thing ,have you got the main rec on standby it should power your other receivers which are looped to it. now should work with the maxx, if not it could be a faulty loopthrough on maxx. Regards ALAN.

yea m8 i have all 3 of the boxs on stand by never shut them right down but the guy from the shop that i got the box from got back 2 me at last as i am up north in 3 weeks time will take the box back 2 the shop and he will set the motor side up 4 me so 1 day it may work on its own with out having 2 put dish on the sat with my 2ed box like 2 say you been very help full and i o you a beer or 3 if ever we meet tc dave

hi m8 i am not sure what your after but for now and for the cost of it i think that the maxx is about the best their is i have all my probs fixed now and just had 2 do my 1st up date but if its a bax your after take a look on ebay as for the the technomate at the min their is only thor thats worth having but that will go off soon as going over 2 nag 3 hope this helps sorry was not sure from your post what you was after

Cheers sj. I have had the protek 9600ip for the last 8 months or so and works a treat but T.K. Vet mentioned he had 2 extra free servers and wanted to see if they had any extra packages that were taken off the xvision a while ago.

ok m8 sorry 4 the mix up and yea that would be good 2 know what you are asking mind i did see their was more servers free 1s at the maxx box site but as i am still very new 2 all this i am not going 2 test them and mmay be mess my box up but if some 1 knows of free 1s that work and what packs are on them this would be very good have a good day all
