just wondered if anyone can help me with this question. how many sky boxes can be attached to 1 dish inc sky hd and sky plus?

it depends how many outputs your lnb have i think

well if you have a octo lnb you have eight outputs! sky HD and sky Plus take two per recevier..standard sd ones take one so you can do the maths..if you have a quad LNB you can have one HD and one sky Plus unless you dont want the recording facilities!

yes u said it better ,i think sky just fit a quad to mine for hd so 2 inputs free

or you could put a quatro lnb on your dish and use a multiswitch
then the amount is endless...this is what they use on communal systems..

i think he has 4. sky hd box downstairs, bedroom 1 with sky plus but wanted sky plus in 2nd bedroom as got the offer of a free box. would a 3rd subscription have to be paid??

yes.. you pay for another subscription.. you get another indepandant card which is paired to that box.. but its an extra ?10 a month on top of your normal sub.. that is per box.. so if you wanted one in you two bedrooms it would be ?20+ normal sky charges
