my mum is going to KILL ME!!! HELP

Hey guys I think that I have posted my question in the wrong section. Well at the start it I think it was in the right section but now its moved off its original point so here is where I am at the moment. I have installed a new TV system at my mum and dads house but all I need to do now is get their sky+ box working again. If you have a look at my previous post:

you will see where I currently am. But I have to drive all the way to my mums tomorrow and move this dish but I have no idea where I am going to move it?
So can some one please tell me the correct position for the Sky+ box satellite and what I will need i.e, a sky meter and a compass? If you do know what meter and where to buy one please can you post a link to a store like Maplins so I can go there and just buy one and get this over with. Thanks guys I know that I might come across a bit demanding but you guys don't know my mum and when she gets pissed off she really gets pissed off
    Cheers guys.

just set the elevation on the dish to 23degrees and then move
the dish round till you get a signal on meter on box,,,you will know when your on the right sat cos lock will say ok...also have a look at neighbours to get a general direction...

if your dish isnt to high up an easy get at just run a cable from the lnb to the ground bring out a small tv an an extension lead plug in your box an telly go to settings and check signal strength just look at your neighbours an make sure your dish is pointing in the general area before ya start an your sorted no need for any extra equipment

did you get your sky+ box from sky or somewhere else ?
cos if you havent subsribed to sky + it wont work until you ring them and get the extra service activeted down the phone line .
if you are getting a signal on sky then you wont need to move your dish to get sky+ ,once you get the signal strength and quality right on input 1 and you get the service activated it should work

ok so here is the thing i done everything that i said i would do in my pre install brief and what i said i would do in the diagram. Once everything was installed the whole system seemed to work fine apart from the magic eyes. All the point are getting 11.3v DC i checked with a meter but will not change the channels over. At first i thought that the RF out2 was not set to "ON" in the engineers menu but when i looked it was?
So i checked the RF out 2 port with my multi meter and found no 9v DC coming out even when i plug in a magic eye to the back on the Sky plus box its self nothing no red light. This used to work in the old house nothing has changed apart from the cables and the splitter in the loft. I am sure its not the splitter because if it was the problem would occur after the splitter/multi room distribution box that i have put up in the loft. Do you think that its a faulty set top box or is there a setting that i have missed to enable in the engineers menu?

If you have checked for 9v with multimeter and there is nowt there then the rf2 is broken...you have switched rfout 2 on so
                its quite simple really...
