Cheap ways to watch Premier League football on foreign tv channels? (Legal methods)

Hello all. I'm sadly a bit tight on money and can't dish out the (ridiculous sum of) 40 pounds a month for Sky. Can anyone recommend cheap, good ways of watching PL games on foreign tv? So what type of cards would I need to buy, and how much it would cost me. I heard aljazeera was decent...

    Hope you guys can help.

    Thanks

depends on your location, but nothing is cheap, especially not the EPL as its pretty much sewn up for pay tv and costs more than anyone thinks !!

the only cheap method is nova and diema on 39e using a cheap patched box and softcam, other than that expect to pay, and dont assume you will get aljazeerah if you are in the uk

Is it possible to get an aljazeera card or admc (abu dhabi sports card) to watch PL? Would this be the cheapest way?

The cheapest way will be through IPTV but you still need to pay for a season pass and a VPN proxy not sure of the monthly cost but cheaper than ?40 a month

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am considering bt sports, but browsing other forums i've read a bit about using foreign tv cards, such as tring, abu dhabi sports and sport italia calcio. Can anyone tel me whether such cards would give me EPL coverage??

Tring and ADsport lost the rights to the EPL not sure about Calcio i heard they where having the Fox Sport channel on 13? east that does have EPL coverage.

You could also consider Canalsat France, Cyfra+, Viasat, Canal Norway as well as others some cheap and some not so cheap

Thanks. Would I need to purchase the card for the above tv networks and put it into any decent box?

you will find that most cards are subscription cards and paired to the boxes, and sometimes you may only subscribe if you have a postcode in the country served by the cards and boxes

the days of getting a card and using any box are in the past in most cases, there is also the fact that if you are in the uk you may not even receive some of the channels even if you managed to get a suitable card

I would also say that lookng at the prices of subscription cards with paired boxes, none of them are cheap, most cost hundreds of pounds or more

I thought you wanted something cheap, dont we all, I doubt there is anything "cheap" on the legal card front

Roughly speaking, how much would a card for the mentioned tv networks cost? And I was always of the belief that you could put the card in a technosat box??? Is it really the case that the card only works when 'paired' with its designated box..?

it varies from provider to provider, assuming you qualify according to postcode

in many cases it is true, the providers have taken many steps to stop subscribers using their subscription cards in third party boxes
pairing the cards to their own boxes is one method, only allowing use of subscriptions over the internet is another method

the days of placing a card into any patched box are long gone and will fail in a lot of cases, although I am sure a few methods may exist for those able to get hold of a subscription card in the designated country that they serve

its not as easy as you seem to think, and definitely not cheap either, I think a bulsat card and paired box is a few hundred pounds for one years subscription

a sly italia card and box is several hundred pounds or more , probably something similar for nova, and only available in their own countries for the most part
