    any installers help

    can any installers of dishes tell me can i take my 1 feed from my dish to a twin sat box and put it in tunner 1 and loop through from 1 in tgo tunner 2 giving me able torecord 2 channels at once with out replacing the single feed lnb for a twin feed.

    I am not an installer but can tell you the answer , which is....it depends

    yes you can do what you said , use the loopthrough

    BUT, the second tuner can only record channels on the same transponder that the first tuner is tuned to

    if different transponders are required, the second tuner will fail due to the first tuner over riding it and tuning a different transponder in

    to have full independence from each other , a twin or quad lnb and a twin feed coaxial cable is required
    basically the same as what sly fit for sly plus, 2 separate independent feeds from a multi output lnb

      Simple answer No the Loop through on a receiver is to feed another satellite receiver nearby while the first receiver is in standby mode.

      1 single feed will let you record one channel and watch another just as long as the channel is on the same polarity as the one you are recording, So if you choose to record a Channel that is on a Vertical polarity then you can watch another channel on the same satellite as long as it is on a vertical polarity.

      For true watch one thing and record something else you need a twin LNB and a second feed to your twin tuner
