    No signal

what could be my problem, I have gone and cut through my satellite cable from my motorized dish. It was about 8ft from the dish so all it needed was to put a connector on the new end. But now i can not get any signals the tuner signal strength stays the same 29% and 10% I have tryed the box on another satellite dish and it works fine,So i am thinking maybe i have shorted the LNB out. My motorized dish is pole mounted. I cut through the cable with a hedge trimmer.
any idea's would be welcome Thanks.

Try a full new line first see if signal is better.

Could also be bad connection where you went through the wire. Try different connections

I will give the cable a try, The cut was clean so the connectors fit snug. Could the cutting have caused a fault in the motor some how.
      Thanks for replying.

I doubt it but also make sure when doing the connections to keep the Braid shielding away from the main copper core, Best way to connect is 2 'F' connectors and a barrel if its outside some amalgamating tape to seal it from the weather.

Connect the cable to the lnb ,bypass motor and see if theres any joy, could be motor or lnb assuming youre sure the connections are fine

Connections are fine, bypassed the motor signal intensity and quality still the same 30%/10% Looks like the motor okay then.

It certainly looks like the Amp has gone in the LNB before you buy one see if you can lend one just to try and take that out of the equation so to speak

i have tried the box with my other satellite dish wall mounted and it worked fine. The Dish is up very high so i will give swapping the lnb a miss. Scared of heights.

Its is the LNB i ran two cables from the motor to the other sat box i joined the Lnb cable from the other dish and connected the transceiver cable from the motor to the sat box and programs all work so the motor is working. I have ordered a new LNB should come tomorrow.

                      Thanks for all the advice
