I'm in the same boat. I have an AMIKO STHD-8820 and would appreciate any info on updating the channel list and how to do it? -
Normally the procedure on amiko is this.
1 Take a backup of the Mini HD and save onto USB Key
2. connect USB Key to PC and run your editor
3. open backup file on your USB Key with your editor
4. Modify channels etc.
5, Save your modified file to your usb key
6 connect usb key to Amiko again
7. Restore back upi file to the Amiko
8. reboot Amiko.

i started buying these boxes because i was told there was auto channel updates, no more downloading onto a usb stick and then puting that onto the box, just press a few buttons and download it straight off the server, how wrong can one be not one update in over a month now, any ideas or should i go back to using sky box ?Comment
